Seattle, WA – Pike Place Market proudly celebrates both Women’s Small Business Month and the return of Artistry in Glass: Handmade Glass Art Showcase, part of the 6th annual Refract: Glass Art Celebration. Home to over 500 small businesses, the Market highlights its vibrant community, including 250 women-owned businesses that bring creativity and innovation to the Soul of Seattle. In collaboration with Refract, Pike Place Market hosts special events showcasing the remarkable work of Market glass artists, many of whom are women entrepreneurs.

Artistry in Glass: Handmade Glass Art Showcase
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the MarketFront Pavilion will transform into a creative hub for the Artistry in Glass Handmade Showcase, a featured event of Refract. Visitors can experience live glass art demonstrations and explore a curated marketplace featuring stunning handmade glass creations. In honor of Brest Cancer Awareness Month, Madame Lazonga’s Tattoo is hosting the Shades of Pink Tattoo Event on October 29, 2024. Madame Lazonga, a pioneer in scar and mastectomy scar tattooing since 1982, along with her team will tattoo breast cancer survivors for free (must have applied by Sept 30th). This event celebrates resilience and empowerment while highlighting the compassionate work of a woman-owned business at the Market.
