This seasonal public seating area boasts 12 picnic tables and is set up from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Grab food or drinks from any of our 40+ eateries and enjoy them in front of our famous Public Market Center Clock & Sign in this public seating area.

Market Entrance on 1st Avenue

This public seating area is a relatively new addition to Pike Place Market. Grab your breakfast or lunch from Delaurenti Food & Wine, Mariscos Mexico, or Saffron Spice, and enjoy it while sitting on these bar stools at the entrance to the Market off 1st Avenue. This seating area contains spots for 8 people to sit and eat.

Continue walking through the Economy building on the south end of Pike Place Market, and you’ll find the next public seating area between BagelBop and Daily Dozen Doughnuts Co. This area contains only a bar top. Stand along this section for a quick bite before you plan your next Market adventure.

Economy Atrium Public Seating

The Economy Atrium is located on the southeast end of Pike Place Market. This large public seating can be accessed from 1st Avenue between La Vaca Burrito Express and Bottega Italiana. It can also be accessed from a hallway across Daily Dozen Doughnuts Co.

Find bar seating for 20 in the Economy Atrium, plus tables throughout the space. Look up, and you’ll find a large squid floating over the Atrium, plus delicious restaurants, including Pasta Casalinga and Crepe de France.

Public Seating with WaterFront Views

Walk under our iconic Public Market Center Clock & Sign and take the slight ramp to the right of Pike Place Fish. You’ll pass by Marakesh Leather and Glass Eye Studio before the ramp dead ends at this public seating area next to Sound View Cafe. Enjoy bar seating for 20 while looking out at Puget Sound.

Soames Dunn Courtyard (the hidden courtyard)

When you stumble upon this courtyard, you’ll feel like you found a hidden treasure. To find the Soames Dunn Courtyard take the hallway next to Piroshky Piroshky. Then pass Lungu Gifts & Antiques and Market Tobacco Patch before exiting the courtyard. The Soames Dunn Courtyard contains 9 cement tables with stair access to Upper Post Alley. Nearby food businesses include Seattle Dumpling Co, Emmett Watson’s Oyster Bar, and Chocolate & Ice Cream Delight.

Relax outside the Stewart House building in this small public seating section along Pike Place. Find two picnic tables in this section just outside Piroshky Piroshky.

MarketFront Sundeck

Picnic tables were added to the MarketFront Sundeck in 2021, and then that section was expanded in 2022. Currently, 15 picnic tables, complete with red shade umbrellas, are in this public seating section. Enjoy food and drinks from any of our 40+ eateries in this section overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Be sure to explore the food vendors on the deck on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The MarketFront Sundeck is on the northwest end of Pike Place Market. Walk through Pike Place Market as Stewart Street and Pike Place. Walk toward the glass windows and out to the MarketFront Sundeck.
