SEATTLE, February 2, 2022 – The Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) is proud to announce the launch of a brand new website packed with new features, mobility-friendly capabilities and a fresh, clean design that is easy to navigate. This new website is a consumer’s one-stop-shop to learn about everything that is Pike Place Market.

“We want shoppers to have the best experience at Pike Place Market,” said Madison Bristol, Public Relations and Programs Manager at the Pike Place Market PDA. “This new website gives first-time visitors a roadmap of the Market and our Market regulars a way to efficiently plan out their Market day. This is a great resource for shoppers to learn who is open, what is being sold and new business openings. For anyone wanting to expand their involvement with the Market, the new site includes ways to get involved, upcoming events and a robust timeline of the Market’s extraordinary history.”

New Website Features

This is a great way to easily access favorite shops, mark new ones to visit or curate a trip for an out-of-town friend. Market Days can also be sent or shared on social media. New visitors to the Market will find several suggested Market Days to help get started, including Early Riser, Family Day, or Date Night.

Dedicated In Loving Memory of Betty Halfon

As the Market launches this beautiful site, the PDA also recognizes and honors a remarkable woman from our community. The new Pike Place Market website is dedicated to the late Betty Halfon, a Market business owner for 25 years, served on the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) Council for eight years and chaired the Market Programs Committee. Betty passed away in August 2021, just before the site launched. Betty’s support of the Market, Market community, and her push to make Pike Place Market the best it can be was inspiring. Her love and support for the Market transcends and is still evident each day.
