Introducing the New Pike Place Market Website

Just before the holiday season, Pike Place Market quietly launched a brand new website. Our new website boasts many new features, but we are most proud of these:

• A new robust, very visual Market Directory allows you to search our 500+ businesses by categories, keywords, and name.
• A new Market Day Planner was designed to help you plan your visit to the Market. Add restaurants, places you want to shop, Market attractions, and more to your Market Day easily, then send it to yourself and share it with your friends.
• Learn about the Market! How and who operates the Market, about our Market Community, our history, how to become an artist or about our amazing residents, and so much more.

Read on to learn about everything our new website can do for you! We also have some exciting new features coming early this year – like a new Market Map that will help navigate and guide you from one end of the Market to the other or through the amazing DownUnder.

The new Pike Place Market website is dedicated to the late Betty Halfon who was a Market business owner for 25 years, served on the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) Council for 8 years, and chaired the Market Programs Committee. Betty passed away in August 2021, just before we launched the site.

Betty’s support of the Market, our Market community, and her push to make Pike Place Market the best it can be was inspiring. We can’t thank Betty enough for all her love and support over the years.

Visual Market Directory

Pike Place Market is a community of independently owned shops and eateries, craftspeople, farmers, social services, and more!

With that robust inventory in mind, we kicked our Market Directory up a notch! Shoppers can now search our full directory of businesses for casual browsing or filter to find exactly what you’re looking for.

The new Pike Place Market Directory also visually displays the outside of Market businesses, so you know exactly what you’re looking for while exploring the Market in person.

Each of our independent small businesses, tours, social services, Market attractions and more have a page on our directory where you can read their stories and discover more about everything that makes our Market community special. Find out if your favorite Market business hosts classes, or has an online shop! There’s so much to uncover!

Market Day Planner

We are extremely excited about this new feature! Our new Market Day Planner will allow you to create curated Market trips while exploring our Directory. Create a list of all your favorite shops to send to a friend who’s visiting, or create a list of shops you haven’t heard of before and need to check out.

Simply click on the heart in the right corner of each business, or click the “add to your Market Day” button while on a business’s directory listing.

Once your Market Days are created send them to your friends and family or share them on social media!
