Enjoy Free Daffodils and Welcome the Season with Local Farmers
SEATTLE – Nothing says “spring has arrived” quite like the cheerful bloom of daffodils! Celebrate the changing of the seasons at Pike Place Market during the 28th Annual Daffodil Day on Thursday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until we run out of flowers!).
Stop by the Market’s famous Clock & Sign to receive a free bundle of fresh daffodils and learn about the hardworking local farmers who grew them. These bright, fragrant blooms in shades of yellow, white, and orange are a sure sign that sunnier days are ahead!
While you’re here, take time to explore Pike Place Market’s historic arcade, browse locally owned shops, grab a delicious bite to eat, and pick up a unique, handmade gift.
Supporting Local Flower Farmers
All flowers at Pike Place Market are grown within 100 miles of Seattle and sourced from multi-generational, family-run farms that have been selling at the Market for over 30 years. This year’s daffodils are proudly grown by Blong’s Gardens, Nguyen Family Farm and Lor Garden—farms that have been part of the Market community for decades.
Discover the PIKE BOX Program
One highlight of this year’s Daffodil Day is the chance to discover PIKE BOX – a weekly farm-to-customer program supporting over 30 Washington farmers. PIKE BOX is a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, bringing fresh, local produce directly to consumers. Starting on March 20, members can register for the Spring PIKE BOX and Summer PIKE BOX. Visitors can learn more about PIKE BOX and its impact on local farmers during Daffodil Day.
Join us as we welcome the first day of spring with flowers, shopping, and community at Pike Place Market!
We can’t wait to see you there!

Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority PDA
The nine-acre historic district is maintained and operated by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA), a not-for-profit public corporation created by the City of Seattle in 1973. The PDA supports the Market’s remarkable community by increasing farm and food retailing opportunities, supporting small and marginal businesses, and providing services for low-income individuals. In addition, PDA helps protect the essence of the Market by preserving, rehabilitating and maintaining the buildings within the Market. PikePlaceMarket.org
