Pike Place Market Celebrates the First Day of Spring with Free Daffodils

Pike Place Market kicks off its 26th annual Daffodil Day on March 20

SEATTLE, March 14, 2023 – Pike Place Market will celebrate the first day of spring with its 26th Annual Daffodil Day on Monday, March 20, a community event that brings together people of all ages to enjoy the beauty of the season and support the Market’s local flower farmers. This year visitors will be able to wander through the Market’s sea of daffodils under the Clock & Sign and select two daffodils to bring home, while supplies last. Visitors will get to choose from a variety of daffodil species, plus take home a digital photo with their new stems.

All flowers sold at Pike Place Market are grown within 100 miles of Seattle and sourced from multi-generational family-run farms that have been selling at the Market for over 30 years. Four of our farmers will be graciously providing  flowers for this celebration:

This is a great opportunity for downtown residents and workers to come down to the Market to enjoy free daffodils then grab a bite to eat or shop on their lunch break. This month also marks Women’s History Month, and at Pike Place Market 50% of all businesses are either fully-owned or co-owned by women. Daffodil Day is a special way to welcome spring and support local businesses at the same time.

Daffodil Day at Pike Place Market will take place on Monday, March 20 from 11am to 2pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the first day of spring with free daffodils and a fun community event.
