The 39th Annual Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition On the Cobblestones of Pike Place Market

Get into the holiday spirit while helping raise funds to support seniors and families in need on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from Noon-2:30PM

Seattle, WA – The Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank (PMSC-FB) proudly invites the public to one of the most joyful and charming holiday events of the season! Now in its 39th year, family-friendly The Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition brings together 20 spirited teams to perform and compete in a heartwarming celebration on the festive cobblestones of Pike Place Market. This free event invites families, friends, and Market visitors to gather, sing along, and support essential services for Seattle’s most vulnerable residents.

“We love Figgy Pudding in the Market!” says PMSC-FB Executive Director Pamela Hinckley. “It’s a time to welcome our neighbors to the Market to ring in the holidays. Each caroling team brings their own version of holiday magic and all the good cheer goes directly towards supporting our neighbors facing hunger and homelessness, ensuring no one is left out this holiday season.”

Funds raised at Figgy Pudding support critical programs, providing free meals, activities and services for low-income and homeless seniors and offering vital food bank services for people of all ages.

During the event, attendees can experience the magic of live holiday music while shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts from local Market vendors. Just a short walk from two Sound Transit light rail stations, Pike Place Market offers a convenient and festive holiday outing for the whole family.

Throughout the event, spectators can support their favorite caroling teams by voting with QR codes or cash. PMSC-FB staff will be present to provide information about services offered through the Senior Center and Food Bank, hand out event programs, and sell commemorative buttons and jingling candy canes.  Market neighbor, NPR/Jazz radio station KNKX disc jockey Abe Beeson will emcee the event, bringing an extra dose of holiday spirit to the show.
