Gather on the cobblestones for an electric watch party celebrating the World Cup Final on July 19.

SEATTLE – Pike Place Market invites Seattleites and soccer fans alike to come together for one final World Cup celebration with a free community watch party from noon to 3 pm on Sunday, July 19. Bring your own chair or enjoy the Market’s public seating picnic tables to watch the championship match on an 18-foot screen at the north end of Pike Place between Stewart St and Virginia St.

After weeks of unforgettable World Cup excitement, the Market is eager to close out the tournament with a festive gathering that will embrace the Soul of Seattle. With most traveling visitors having left following Seattle’s final hosted match, this watch party is especially for our locals. Make a day out of it – cheer on your team, enjoy food and beverage from diverse restaurants and eateries, and do some shopping to support the Market’s more than 500 small businesses, craftspeople, and farmers.

Pike Place Market is the ideal location for both the die-hard soccer fans and people just looking to enjoy a sense of community for one final World Cup event.

Enjoy the Sip & Savor Program

The outdoor alcohol pilot will be running during the watch party. Visitors can purchase alcoholic beverages from participating Market businesses and enjoy them throughout designated outdoor areas. With expanded seasonal outdoor seating, the Market is an ideal place to connect, relax, and savor the exciting atmosphere of the Market and its 9-acre historic district. The program runs Fridays through Sundays from noon to 5 pm through Labor Day weekend. For more information on the Sip & Savor program, visit the website.

Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority PDA

The nine-acre historic district is maintained and operated by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA), a nonprofit public corporation created by the City of Seattle in 1973. The PDA supports the Market’s remarkable community by increasing farm and food retailing opportunities, supporting small and marginal businesses, and providing services for low-income individuals. In addition, PDA helps protect the essence of the Market by preserving, rehabilitating and maintaining the buildings within the Market. PikePlaceMarket.org
