Enjoy Portuguese specialty bites, craft cocktails, and more!

Head down the Hill Climb and look for the glass atrium to find Pike Place Market’s newest restaurant and bar, Lonely Siren. This Portuguese-inspired spot brings a casual yet refined experience with keenly crafted cocktails and mocktails, alongside thoughtfully curated light bite pairings.

It’s a great way to enjoy a date night at the Market or meet-up spot for drinks with friends. Read on to learn more about this hidden gem!

Their menu, while abbreviated, has a great range of options from seafood to sandwiches, offering snackable and shareable portions centered on Portugal’s signature dishes.

Signature Dishes to Try:

Bifana Sandwich – A simple but hearty delicacy with fresh house-made bread, marinated Ibérico steak (often dubbed the “wagyu of pork”), and mustard.

Porco a Alentejana (Pork & Clams) – One of the most traditional and popular plates. Spicy Azorian-style braised pork cheek is tossed with buttery clams and crispy potatoes in a deliciously rich stew-like sauce.

Batatas Bravas (GF) – Thinly sliced potatoes are layered into a flaky croissant-like arrangement and fried crisp atop a pairing of a smoked manchego soubise and tomato-based bravas sauce, for a refined spin on the regional classic.

Drinks to Sip & Savor:

For beverages, enjoy those with and without spirits in the expansive bar.

Their Escabeche Grenade takes cold-processed grilled peppers and oranges that are simmered down over a few hours with sugar, straining them to create a deliciously smoky sweet shrub.

Topped with house-made grenadine and soda, it’s a refreshing mocktail brew!

During the cooler months, cozy up with a hot mulled sangria crafted with their house-made Ginja, Portuguese for sour cherry and the signature sipper of the region.

Their spin on this popular Portuguese liqueur marries together sour cherries, vodka, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves for a balanced sweet and lightly spiced addition that makes for the perfect winter cocktail pairing.

Owner Brandi and Chef Randal bring their locals’ expertise from formerly managing just down the hill at the waterfront’s Pub 70.

Much of the inspiration for the menu comes from the recipes of Chef Randal’s grandmother Ana, to him known lovingly as Vavó.

An eclectic woman who modelled internationally and grew up in the Azores Islands, 100 miles west off the coast of Portugal, the maximalist aesthetic of the region and Ana herself are seen throughout the decorative touches in the restaurant.

Colorful walls with lush garden scenes, ornate pendant light fixtures, and cushy regency style caned furniture fill their cozy lounge area. The design and pieces curated by Brandi and her team are an ode to the vibrant culture this space is rooted in.

The warm bistro-lit atrium space has a relaxed vibe that welcomes curious patrons in through its glass vignettes alongside the Hillclimb steps. Lonely Siren adds an excellent addition to Pike Place Market’s international cuisine and after-dark delights.

Looking for a gathering space? Groups interested in taking over their atrium, dining room, or both for a special occasion are welcomed to contact management on their website to rent out the space for private events.

Drop by to enjoy a taste of the coastal delights of Portugal, and don’t miss out on their happy hour deals!
