1. 27th Annual Daffodil Day

Celebrate the arrival of spring at Pike Place Market at Daffodil Day! On Tuesday, March 19, pick up your free bundle of fragrant daffodils under the Clock & Sign between 11am – 2pm. Peruse the aisles of this U-pick experience while learning about the local flower farmers who grew them. After you pick your stems, stop by our free photo-op booth to commemorate the day and learn about our PIKE BOX CSA program that supports Washington farmers throughout the season. Stay longer and grab a bite to eat, or pick up something for lunch, all while enjoying the sights and sounds of Pike Place Market.

 

2. 16th Annual Flower Festival

Bring along the mother figures in your life and join us for the 16th Annual Flower Festival on Mother’s Day weekend at Pike Place Market. On May 11 – 12, stroll the cobblestones and interior arcades for the biggest annual showcase of fresh bouquets from our flower farmers. Browse from 30+ farms filling their tents along Pike Place with elegant arrangements including tulips, daffodils, irises, and the seasonal favorite: peonies!

Special Shopping Offer! Shoppers who spend $50 or more at any Market business on Saturday will receive a free limited-edition Pike Place Market flower vase, perfect for commemorating the day and displaying your bouquet.

 

3. Take in a Show

Can Can Culinary Cabaret is celebrating their 19th year at the Market this month! This dinner theatre tucked away in Post Alley is a sensational entertainment experience, bringing modern cabaret and burlesque dance, acrobatics, vocal performances and comedy into one brilliantly delightful production.

New shows are put on each season with exciting original storylines. Catch a showing of Noir on now through May 26. Couple this moody and mysterious psychedelic-inspired piece with their delectable, seasonally fresh menu and libations served throughout the show, and you’re sure to have a most memorable evening. This 9-week CSA program offers patrons a curated selection of weekly vegetables and fruits, including sweet asparagus, leafy greens, crunchy apples, and more. Mix and match with exciting add-ons like artisanal creamery products, local meat cuts, and other great staples to stock your kitchen with the best the Market has to offer. 5. Dine on Market Patios

One of the signatures of our Market is the magnificent bouquets grown by our farmers. As we roll into spring, look forward to seeing more diversity of fresh blooms coming into season like daffodils, a variety of unique tulips, and peonies. All of the flowers sold by farmers at Pike Place Market are grown within 100 miles of the Market and brought in daily, so you can count on a fresh arrangement every time you visit.

7. Take a Class or Workshop

There are a number of businesses who offer fun hands-on opportunities to indulge in their craft with friends, family, or dates. In the season of renewal, it’s a great time to switch it up and try something different. Learn art, jewelry-making, chocolate crafting, and more all from our talented community of producers. Head down to Western Avenue and step into the space at Brooke Westlund Studio & Gallery for a vibrant energizing experience creating abstract canvas art with owner Brooke. Beverages and supplies provided!

For wearable art, head to the Sanitary Market off 1st Avenue into the cozy shop of Magpie Mouse Studios, where you can work with your own miniature kiln to create enamel-fired jewelry. Private workshops are available for 1-2 people at a time and typically run for 2-3 hours. Every attendee will leave with a personally handcrafted set of earrings and a pendant necklace.

8. Enjoy a Picnic on the MarketFront

There’s few better places to take in the scenic views of Pike Place Market than on the MarketFront looking out to Puget Sound. Head to the north end of the Market, then hang a left at Stewart Street and move through the bridge of craftspeople before heading out the double doors. On Fridays-Sundays, find a number of artisanal food vendors selling hot lunches and cool beverages from an array of international cuisines. The picnic tables are up year-round on the MarketFront Deck, so you can count on enjoying a scenic lunch on any sunny day.
