Market to Table Tour & Cooking Class with Atrium Kitchen
Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am – 12:30pm
Chef Traci’s Market to Table experience invites you into her kitchen to create Pike Place Market-inspired dishes along with lasting memories. Learn about the history and bounty of Pike Place Market on this guided walking tour through produce stands, specialty stores, and cheese shops, with detours to memorable chef-favorite spots! Along the tour, you will meet producers and owners of some of Seattle’s finest small businesses that celebrate the astonishing variety of seafood, produce, meats, gourmet items, and unique, one-of-a-kind small-batch producers. This special experience is ideal for both visitors and local conscientious cooks.
An advocate of sustainable entrepreneurship, Chef Traci is a global role model for exploring food and local history and weaving it together with community and connection. She celebrates the uniqueness of PNW cuisine and brings other regional influences into each dish. With a shared commitment to honoring the historical environment, the vast community, and its diverse residents, the Market to Table tour and cooking class provides you with an insider’s experience.
Each menu is created at the beginning of each class to allow guests input in the final menu. Guests are given a historical tour of the Market and introduced to some of Chef Traci’s favorite shops and purveyors. Together, items are selected for the cooking class. Upon returning to the kitchen, guests are served light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, including Rachel’s Ginger Beer and/or Aditi Chai Tea. A hands-on experience is available to any guests who wish to participate in the making of the meal. Guests then share the meal and bond and connect with each other.
The experience with the tour, cooking class, and meal lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Guests celebrating a special occasion are encouraged to let us know ahead of time!
