Owners Michelle and Jeremy Kyncl of Hierophant Meadery are on a mission to make you love mead, aka the nectar of the gods.
Mead, also called honey wine, is an alcoholic beverage created with three primary ingredients: honey, yeast, and water. After graduating college, Michelle and Jeremy dedicated their life to making this ancient drink.
Hierophant Meadery is bottled in south Whidbey Island, about 40 miles from the Market, using sustainably sourced honey, botanicals, and other spices.
In addition to mead, they also sell elderberry syrup and few select teas. Find them set up on Pike Place Market’s farm tables on Fridays and Saturdays.
