Pike Place Market Announce the 16th Annual Flower Festival: A Tribute to Local Farmers and Mother's Day Celebrations

Seattle, WA  – Pike Place Market is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated 16th Annual Flower Festival, taking place on Saturday, May 11th, and Sunday, May 12th from 11am – 4pm. This beloved event, held over Mother’s Day weekend, celebrates the beauty and diversity of flowers in the Pacific Northwest, while honoring the dedicated local farmers who bring them to life.

For the past 16 years, Pike Place Market has been the go-to destination for Mother’s Day weekend, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the vibrant colors and fragrances of spring in Seattle. This year’s Flower Festival promises to be better than ever, with over 30 local flower farms from King, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties showcasing their finest blooms.

From tulips and daffodils to irises and peonies, the Market will be bursting with an array of flowers, each bouquet a testament to the skill and artistry of Pike Place Market farmers. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to pick out the perfect bouquet for Mom and all the mother figures in their lives, as well as explore the Market’s 160+ craftspeople in the Handmade Craft Market and 225+ retail shops.

In addition to the floral extravaganza, Pike Place Market is excited to offer a special shopping offer during Flower Festival weekend. The first 500 shoppers each day who spend $50 or more at Market businesses on Saturday or Sunday will receive a free limited-edition Pike Place Market flower vase, perfect for commemorating the day and displaying their bouquet.

Shoppers can also enjoy a full day of live busker music. Musicians will be atop the famous Market farm truck beneath the Clock & Sign, which also offers a memorable photo opportunity against the backdrop of Pike Place Market’s historic charm.

As Flower Festival coincides with National Small Business Week, which runs from April 28th to May 4th, Pike Place Market encourages visitors to visit local businesses while celebrating Mom. Whether it’s finding the perfect gift or enjoying a delicious meal, the Market offers endless opportunities to make Mother’s Day truly memorable.
