Holiday Events

30th Annual Magic in the Market
Saturday, November 29th, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The Market will be bursting with holiday fun all day long! Take a photo with Santa, sing along with holiday choirs, decorate cookies with Chef Traci from Atrium Kitchen, and experience other festive activities for kids and adults. And don’t miss the tree lighting ceremony at 5 PM. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends and family!
Here’s our recommended itinerary for the day: Start by shopping at the Handmade Crafts Market and exploring all the holiday activities in the morning. Then, join the Festive Flavors Food Tour at 2:30 PM as a tasty substitute for dinner. The tour wraps up just in time to watch the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 5 PM, the perfect festive finale!

Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank’s Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition
Saturday, December 6th, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM
Stop by for an early lunch at Pike Place Market and enjoy listening to a variety of talented singers during the Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition. This holiday event draws nearly 10,000 attendees each year, so consider ordering your lunch ahead of time. We recommend Pike Place Chowder. They even have an app so you can schedule a pickup time for your order. Even better, your visit supports a wonderful cause supporting the Pike Market Senior Center and Food Bank.
Add a visit to Pike Place Market to your holiday traditions this year! There’s something for everyone, and connecting with the Market’s community of artisans, producers, and shop owners will make your holiday season brighter, tastier, and even more fun.

Holiday Night Market with Santa
Thursday, December 11th, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Save your holiday shopping and support the 50+ artists and makers in the Pike Place Market Handmade Crafts Market during this evening event. These individuals have practiced their craft for decades. From handmade jewelry to ceramic kitchenware, there is something for everyone on your list. (See the full lineup of vendors!)
You’ll also get to snap a free photo with Santa and enjoy seasonal treats.
Pro Tip: The farmers and craftspeople in the market’s handmade Craft Market close around 4:00 PM during this time of year, so the Holiday Night Market is the perfect opportunity to shop in the evening if you can’t make it during the day.
Insider Tip: Every year, Pike Place Market teams up with an artist from the craft line to create a special holiday button. They reveal the buttons at Magic in the Market! These collectible buttons are a fun keepsake and a sweet memory of celebrating the season at the Market. Most, if not all, the craft stalls have them and give them as a gift with purchase.
