Saturday Morning Market History Tours

Saturdays from 8:30am – 10am

The Friends of the Market offers a Saturday morning history tour of Pike Place Market, led by board members and volunteers. The nonprofit was vital in saving Pike Place Market from demolition in 1971. Learn more about their history!

This tour will take you on well-worn paths through the Market’s main shopping areas and back passageways as you learn about history, unique artwork, and the hidden features of the nation’s oldest continuously operating farmers market.

Saturday Morning Market Tours

When: June, July, August & September

Time: 8:30am – 10am (Meet at 8:20am)

Where: Pike Street Market Entrance.
Underneath the iconic Public Market Center Clock & Sign (Map It)

Accessibility: Moderately challenging for wheelchairs due to the cobblestone street and several steep city blocks.

Cost: Advance ticket purchase is required. Please book well in advance; tours are limited to 10 people. Purchased tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled as your space is guaranteed for that tour.
