About Us

Puget Sound Cider Company is one of the newest farmers at Pike Place Market. They make award-winning small-batch ciders from traditional and heritage cider apples grown in their orchard in Ellensburg, WA. All their Heritage Ciders are a combination of cold-pressed cider-specific apples, traditional bittersharp, bittersweet, heritage, crab apples, and natural whole fruit. Their ciders are lightly carbonated and tend to be on the drier side.

Founders Nick and Holly started making cider in 2017 after they purchased an antique cider press and started making delicious ciders for friends and family. Their ciders are not only delicious but award-winning.

Puget Sound Cider Company has won many awards every year since 2019 in the Portland International Cider Cup, the Northwest Cider Cup, and the Great Lakes International Cider & Perry Competition and Sip Magazine’s Best of the Northwest Cider.

They are recognized as a leading Cidery in the country having won over 80 awards including:

  • Best New Cidery of the Year – Portland International Cider Cup 2021
  • Best Small Cidery of the Year – Portland International Cider Cup 2021, 2022
  • Micro Cidermaker of the Year – Great Lakes International Cider & Perry Competition 2022
  • Best Small Cidery of the Year – Northwest Cider Cup 2023
