Last month, two members of the Pike Market Senior Center taught us you can fall in love at any age.

Just one day after Valentine’s Day, Bennie and Patricia were married in the very room where they met.

Staff and other members from the senior center decorated the room with Market flowers and ordered a cake.

The ceremony was officiated by Jeannie Falls, Executive Director of the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank.

One of the mantras of the Pike Market Senior Center is that it is a lot of things to a lot of people. Not only can anyone over 55 get two meals each day, they can also find activities, films, games, dancing, social work case management, and help for problems big and small — all for free.

Now you can add “have a lovely wedding ceremony” to that list!
