Do you want to be a shoemaker? Sign up for this week-long exhilarating workshop where you’ll learn the centuries-old process of leather shoe making in Leolo’s Pike Place Market Atelier (in the Market Atrium at 93 Pike St., Suite 103.)
Learn how to make a classic full leather bespoke shoe. This six-day course will teach you all the steps in creating a traditional Oxford or Derby using the traditional 220-step process.
This workshop teaches you to design, make patterns, cut, dye, and sew the upper. Followed by lasting, soling, and heeling the shoe. Learn the best method for construction and finishing, as well as an intro into the world of leather, leather dyes, industry-specific tools, and techniques.
You’ll leave with a $1600 shoe and a great sense of pride and accomplishment. The class is geared toward those interested in DIY design, fashion design, leather-craft, shoemaking, and everyone else who just wants to know how to make everything.
