Community Supported Agriculture Program
The sign up period for our full 10-week Summer Pike Box CSA is now closed. If you would still like to participate you can join our waitlist and be added for the remainder of the season.
We are now accepting new CSA members via the waitlist. Waitlist customers will be added each week for the following week. Members who join during the season will receive the same Pike Box, but on an abbreviated schedule and price.
What is new this year?
This year, we are offering 3 short seasons instead of one large 20 week season. This will help you choose which program works for your needs. CSA members will have the chance to continue with the program or not at the end of each season.
- The Summer Season is 10 weeks: June 17th through August 19th - Sign up period closed. Join the waitlist
- The Fall Season is 8 weeks: September 2nd through October 21st - Sign ups start Aug. 20th
- The Fall Harvest is 2 weeks: November 11th through November 18th - Sign ups start Oct. 22nd
Since the seasons, are shorter we will not have a monthly payment option. The payment for each season will be due at sign up. Please contact us if you feel that will make your decision to sign up harder.
The add-on store will not be available.
Wednesday Pick ups at the Market will look different
We are used to outdoor gatherings, farmers being present, extra add-on items, music and hot food. This year, we are working to keep our community safe and will be taking precautions to minimize exposure of our staff and CSA members. After you sign up, we will send a follow up email with instructions for safe and distanced pick up at the Market.
Recipes, Storage Tips & Preparation Ideas
Not only do you get fresh produce, but your PIKE BOX includes recipes, storage tips, and easy preparation ideas to help make the most of your fruits and vegetables. You can also visit our online store weekly and choose from a variety of add-ons -- from milk and honey to bread, jam, and even a bouquet of flowers to your box.
About Pike Box CSA
"CSA" stands for "Community Supported Agriculture," a partnership between farmers and consumers. Pike Box is an opportunity for community members to invest in a "share" of local farms by signing up for a season’s worth of fresh produce that is sourced from our Pike Place Market farmers.
The produce is packed by Pike Place Market staff and dedicated volunteers, and then conveniently delivered to participating offices, work places, or community centers each week. Pike Box pick-up is also available right here at the MarketFront Plaza. Come down, pick up your share, and enjoy the weekly CSA events.
The Pike Box CSA program supports local farmers in growing their businesses by opening additional sales channels, connecting them with new customers, and allowing them to experiment with new crops and varieties.
