Kris Sacksteder of Weird Woods sculpts boxes from a single piece of wood, often rare, exotic, or special just for its grain and texture. He then sanded each wooden box to the smoothest finish, oiled, waxed, and polished to a fine sheen and a fine display of the artistry of nature.

These boxes are created from woods from all over the world as well as the Northwest. Kris uses some woods that you can no longer acquire. He even has some of the original beams from when they first built Pike Place Market.

Kris can also create a box from your own wood if you have a piece that is sentimental to you. Even a branch off a tree from your backyard, Kris can mold it into artistic pieces for you and your family to love and enjoy for generations.
