About Us

Alberg Cherry Farm is one of the oldest permitted farmers at Pike Place Market, bringing Rainier, Van, Lambert, and Bing cherries to Seattleites and visitors for over four decades.

Owner Dave Alberg carefully cultivates a 20 acres orchard in Royal City, Washington, about 170 miles southwest of Seattle. Never sprayed with chemicals and pruned to a minimum, the original cherry trees Alberg planted in the 70s still produce fruit to this day.

Alberg Cherry is known for having some of the very first Washington state cherries of the season and attributes this head-start to the warm weather east of the Cascade mountains.

Their table is packed with bundles of cherries, apricots, apples, and pears when the season kicks off in early June. Don’t hesitate to swing by – the growing window for cherries is short and sweet – often wrapping up by the end of July!

Look for them near the intersection of Pike Place and Pine Street near City Fish Company.
