Is there a waitlist for commercial spaces?
No, we do not have a waitlist. Interested applicants must apply to each space they are interested in.
I am a current tenant/craftsperson. Do I have to apply?
Yes, all applicants, including current tenants, must complete the application process.
I submitted a completed application. How do I receive updates?
Updates will be sent to all prospects via the Commercial Leasing email when there is a status change or update to the listing.
How much is it to lease a space in Pike Place Market?
Each space and lease is different. Leasing costs are structured according to location, space size and use within the Market. Lease terms are at the sole discretion of the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA).
How long is a typical lease?
New leases are typically for one to three years. A new lease may be longer to accommodate significant tenant investment into a space.

Those wishing to sell products at Pike Place Market by the day should apply to our Guest Vendor program, Daystall Arts Program, or Daystall Farm Program. Click the buttons below to learn more about those programs.

Can I open a second location or franchise in the Market?
Retail chains and franchisees are not permitted in Pike Place Market. Businesses with multiple retail locations (two or more) are discouraged from applying. However, after opening a business in the Market, businesses can expand to additional retail locations. Please note that this does not prevent wholesalers from applying for a retail space.
Can the use of the commercial space be changed? For example, can I put a restaurant in a retail space?
In most cases, no. The use of the space is designated and regulated by the Pike Place Market Historical Commission, and it cannot be changed.
How do I schedule a tour?
Qualified applicants will be contacted to tour the space at PDA discretion, either individually or in an open house setting based on staff availability.
