About Us

Caught Looking Woodworks is a small artisan woodworking shop specializing in handcrafted cutting boards, charcuterie boards, cribbage boards, and hand-turned fountain pens. Founded by Chief Sawdust Creator Tim Miller, every piece is hand-selected from a Pacific Northwest wood shop and transformed into one-of-a-kind, functional art.

Tim blends traditional woodworking with epoxy resin art, creating stunning color contrasts that highlight the natural beauty of the wood.

“I never know in advance what a board will become—only that something about its character speaks to me,” Tim says of his creative process. “Usually beautiful figure or grain patterns, a disruptive knot hole that others saw as a flaw, or, if I’m lucky, the rich history of the tree itself.

My designs highlight these natural details by pairing different wood species together or combining the wood with epoxy resin to offset the organic beauty with otherworldly colors. From the first cut to the last coat of finish, every piece is crafted entirely by hand.”

Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Caught Looking Woodworks has successfully grown into a thriving business, bringing craftsmanship and creativity.
