About Us

Eighth Generation is a Native-owned lifestyle brand run by the Snoqualmie Tribe that features contemporary products all designed by Native artists.

Widely recognized as the “gold standard” for companies wishing to align with Native art, this rapidly growing organization provides an ethical alternative to Native-inspired art and products.

The business was founded in 2008 when Louie Gong of the Nooksack tribe started customizing shoes in his living room. Gong is an artist, activist and educator widely known for merging traditional Coast Salish art with influences from his urban environment.

Now, Eighth Generation is the first Native-owned company to ever produce wool blankets with a flagship retail store in Pike Place Market. Find Eighth Generation in the Economy Atrium below Tenzing MoMo, and Crepe de France and next to Atrium Kitchen.
