VISITOR FAQ
What are the Market’s hours?
Full Market hours are Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Individual hours do vary, with many food businesses and restaurants open earlier and fine dining restaurants open later. Sunday is an optional day for commercial businesses, but many are open.
How do I get to the Market? Where is parking located?
The Market’s main entrance (home to the famous clock and sign reading Public Market Center) is at First and Pike in downtown Seattle. The Public Market parking garage is easy to locate at 1531 Western Ave. and offers some of the most affordable parking in downtown Seattle. Driving directions to the Market’s parking garage can be found here. Additional parking information is located here.
Where can I stay in or near the Market?
There are two lodging options within Pike Place Market historic district proper: Inn at the Market and Pension Nichols Bed & Breakfast. For other downtown lodging options, please visit www.visitseattle.org.
Where can I park an RV in or close to Pike Place Market?
Our parking garage and parking lots cannot accommodate RVs. However, there is RV parking available on surface lots directly across from the Seattle Aquarium on the east side of the 1500 block of Alaskan Way. This is within easy walking distance of the Market.
Where can I drop-off a school or tour bus?
Unfortunately, in Pike Place Market proper, neither our parking garage nor our surface lots are large enough to accommodate school or tour busses. There is parking for busses nearby on city streets on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that they are located on city streets and are subject to City of Seattle parking regulations. Two drop-off spaces are located just behind and west of the Market in the 1600 block of Western Avenue. Busses can also park on the Seattle waterfront on Alaskan Way at piers 62/63. Both of these locations have signage indicating bus parking.
Do you provide lockers or storage for luggage or backpacks?
Pike Place Market is not able to offer any lockers or storage for luggage, backpacks, etc. If you are a cruise-line passenger or a guest in a local hotel, we suggest checking with concierge services on the ship or at your hotel, as storage is more than likely available there.
