Upcoming Renovation Public Meetings - Until the renovation project is complete, we are holding joint public renovation meetings with the Market Constituency every other month at the regularly scheduled Constituency meeting. The next and final meeting is Tuesday, March 20.

Phase III: Stewart House Renovation Work Plan 2011 - 2012 - A number of construction projects will take place outside and inside the Stewart House. This document describes the work that will take place, gives details about residential moves, and provides a number of questions and answers about this project from residents and business owners.

Tenant Impact Chart (pdf) - a color-coded chart that shows the degree of impact tenants may have, based on the work near or in their area. These colors are used throughout construction materials. Merchants will learn their own level of impact from PDA staff.

Tenant Mitigation Chart (pdf) - mitigation depends on how much a tenant is impacted.

Renovation Update for February 6 - 12 - Renovation work taking place this week includes:

Fire alarm testing will take place in the First & Pine Building on Wednesday, February 8, and Thursday, February 9, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and may continue throughout the morning. Noise will be heard during this time; commercial and residential access may be necessary. A separate Tenant Alert has been distributed.

Scaffolding on the First Avenue side of the Economy Building will be up at least through February. Early morning plumbing and electrical work continues, as does replacement of the roof and other work.

A small 20-foot trailer is in front of the Soames-Dunn Building for the next month. A dumpster is also in front of the building. Concrete demolition and saw cutting continues and may cause noise impacts. Plumbing work continues at night.

Work continues inside and outside the Stewart House. Brick is being installed on the exterior of the building on the Pike Place and Stewart Street sides. Scaffolding on both sides of the building is expected to be in place until the end of February. The courtyard, front patio and 4th level deck are closed to tenant access. Courtyard waterproofing and paver installation will begin when dry weather allows.


Renovation Update for January 30 - February 5 - Renovation work taking place this week includes:

Scaffolding on the First Avenue side of the Economy Building will be up at least through February. Early morning plumbing and electrical work continues, as well as other interior and roof work.

In the Soames-Dunn Building, one grease interceptor is remaining to be installed in a food service space and the tenant has been notified. Noisy concrete demolition and saw cutting continues and may cause noise impacts.

Work continues inside and outside the Stewart House. Brick installation continues on the exterior of the building on the Pike Place and Stewart Street sides. Scaffolding on these sides of the building is expected to be in place until the end of February. The courtyard, front patio and 4th level deck are closed to tenant access.
