This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to any website operated by or on behalf of the Pike Place Market PDA (“Pike Place”). Any such site is referred to in this Policy as the “Site.” This Site is operated by, or on behalf of, Pike Place.
As used in this Policy, “Personal Information” means personally identifiable information, that is, information that identifies a particular person, such as name, street address, telephone number, date of birth, credit or debit card number, expiration date, e-mail address and other billing and shipping information.
Pike Place wants to help you make the most of your visit to our Site, and that includes helping to protect your personal privacy. Some of the features on our Site are offered without collecting any Personal Information from you. You can surf our Site and view much of our content anonymously. For those services on the Site that do require us to collect Personal Information, this Policy will tell you what you need to know to make good decisions about your privacy.
This Policy discloses when and how we collect, use, share, and safeguard Personal Information obtained as a result of the use and operation of this Site. The Personal Information we collect depends on what you do when you visit our Site or use the various products or services we offer. Children

We may collect Personal Information from you when you provide Personal Information to us, such as by using our Site to request information about our services or Market Foundation products, registering to receive materials, searching for a product, making an order for a product, communicating with us by phone, e-mail, or otherwise. As a result of these actions, you may supply us with Personal Information about yourself or about people to whom purchases are to be shipped.
Sending Personal Information to us is entirely voluntary; however, if you do not provide the Personal Information requested, we may not be able to provide requested information to you or sell goods to you and we may elect to not make the related services available for your use. If you send us an e-mail, you should know that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication needs to include information you consider particularly sensitive, please contact us by postal mail or telephone rather than e-mail.
We may combine Personal Information obtained from visitors to our Site with Personal Information that we obtain from public records or third parties in order to create enhanced databases for marketing and similar business purposes.
It is never necessary to provide Pike Place with a Social Security number or similar national identification number. If you receive a request purporting to come from Pike Place that requests such information, please do not respond.

If you visit or purchase products on this Site, participate in a contest, survey, promotion or special offer, or shop at any Pike Place Affiliate, we may share your Personal Information with that Pike Place Affiliate, so that it can communicate with you and provide you with promotional materials and additional information about its products, services, contests, promotions and special offers that may be of interest to you, or collect and use that information subject to and for other purposes contemplated by this Policy. Pike Place does not allow its Affiliates to sell or transfer your Personal Information to others.
We do not share Personal information to non-affiliated third parties except as described in this Policy or as permitted by law.
We use log file information and anonymous demographic information to tailor your experiences at our Site by showing content in which we think you will be interested and displaying content according to your preferences. Anonymous demographic information is shared with advertisers and market researchers on an aggregate basis. We use information collected to evaluate and improve our services. We may develop and use, in our sole discretion, consumer research which may be based on your use of our services. No Personally Information will be linked to aggregated demographic information or consumer research.
We may disclose Personal Information in special cases if required to do so by law, court order or other government or law enforcement authority; or when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is otherwise necessary or advisable, including, for instance, to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interfering with the interests, rights or property of Pike Place, another user or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
Third Party Service Providers
We sometimes use third party vendors and service providers to manage certain aspects of the services we provide, such as maintaining our servers and processing or fulfilling orders for products and services you purchase through the Site. In those instances, your contact and financial information may either be collected by, or shared by us with, such third party service providers as necessary to fulfill your requests and, in some cases, your information may be retained by such third party service providers for their records. We may sometimes need to disclose Personal Information to persons that provide corporate services to Pike Place, such as accountants, auditors and attorneys.
These third parties are prohibited from using Personal Information for any purposes other than the purposes for which they were engaged.

This Policy does not apply to websites that are linked to this Site (unless the other site is a Pike Place site on which the Policy is posted.) Pike Place is not responsible for the privacy policies of such sites. By using this Site and/or accessing a third party’s website from this Site you release Pike Place of any responsibility for, the actions, practices and omissions of such third parties. You should make sure that you read and understand the privacy policies of these sites before providing any Personal Information to them. You should direct any concerns regarding external links to the site administrator or webmaster of that third party website.
Retention of Personal Information
We will use or retain your Personal Information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, and only for so long as is needed to fulfill your requests, support the services you have requested, process your orders, or comply with legal and tax requirements.
Security of Personal Information
We take reasonable precautions to keep Personal Information secure, both during transmission and once we receive it. These precautions include the use of Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology to protect credit card information and other Personal Information you provide in connection with purchases or other similar transactions. Correct/ Update Personal Information
If you would like to correct or update your Personal Information you provide to us to, including providing a new e-mail address, send an e-mail to info@pikeplacemarket.org. Please be sure to include your old e-mail address, your postal address and telephone number. We will contact you by mail and/or telephone to verify your identity and will provide you the information you request. To protect Personal Information, we reserve the right to require additional forms of identification and to withhold the requested Personal Information until we are reasonably satisfied as to the identity and authority of the person making the request. Visitors From Outside the United States
All Personal Information collected at our Site is collected, stored and processed in the United States. By submitting Personal Information to this Site, you are consenting to the collection, storage and processing of your Personal Information in the United States according to applicable US law. US law may not accord protection to Personal Information that is equivalent to that provided by the data protection laws of the country of which you are is a citizen or permanent resident.
We reserve the right to transfer such information to other countries for storage and processing in order to achieve operational efficiencies.
Changes in This Privacy Policy
Pike Place reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here and we will change the “As of” date at the top of this page. Your decision to continue using this Site after we have made changes will be deemed to be your consent to the changes in the Policy.
