Rainbow flags now greet visitors entering Pike Place Market!
On Wednesday, Pike Place Market, in partnership with the Greater Seattle Business Association, held a Pride flag raising ceremony ahead of this weekend's Pride Parade in Seattle.
During the ceremony, flags were placed along the pergola before Pike Place Market Council Chair, Rico Quirindongo raised a large flag on the Corner Market building.
Market businesses owners including Erin Andrews from indi chocolate and Barbara Elza from Daily Dozen Doughnut also join in the fun.
Pike Place Market is a diverse community and a safe space for everyone. This event aimed to foster unity, honor diversity and promote inclusion and equality.
