OPEN A BUSINESS
Thank you for your interest in leasing space at Pike Place Market. Due to the large-scale renovation project that is underway, there is limited available commercial space for lease. Existing vacant retail spaces are being used to accommodate exisiting tenant businesses that will be temporarily closed and/or relocated while renovation work is being done. Please check back monthly to see the progress and any updates we have made to this webpage regarding the availability of tenant spaces at Pike Place Market.
While there may be limited available retail vacancies in the Market today, we always encourage applicants with creative business ideas to fill out an application (pdf) and return it to Commercial Property Department, 85 Pike Street, Room 500, Seattle, WA 98101. We will hold these applications during the renovation project and once completed, if we believe a proposal is a good fit for our tenant mix we will contact you.
Only complete applications will be considered, and we ask that you be as detailed as possible when describing your proposed retail specialty. Include, as appropriate, lists of merchandise, foods, and menus, including suggested prices. Also describe how your specialty business might fill a niche by being unique. You will be contacted if your application suits our needs.
Typically, leases are executed for a period of one to three years, with the length of time at the sole discretion of the Pike Place Market PDA. Rent is structured according to location, space size and use within the Market as prescribed by the Market Historical Commission (MHC) guidelines. Accordingly, Market businesses must adhere to Market and all MHC guidelines (pdf), as administered by the City of Seattle.
