FILMING/COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE MARKET
Thank you for your interest in the Pike Place Market. We are one of the most sought-after production locations in Seattle. As a working market, we try to accommodate requests that are compatible with the Market's charter and mission and do not greatly interfere with merchants or shoppers. However, we are also a historic district with limitations related to productions proposed for Market use. To film or shoot photographs at the Market for other than personal use, a license is required. There are location fees and Security staffing charges.
In addition, commercial use of the Market's name and the neon clock/sign image, which are trademarks owned by the Pike Place Market PDA, require additional consideration and royalties.
The document below has more information and an application. Please note that applications should be received seven days in advance of a proposed filming/photography shoot in the Market. Due to summer crowds, commercial filming or photography is not allowed in the Market on Fridays or weekends.
